Raju Weds Rambai, starring Akhil Raj and Tejaswini, has opened to an overwhelming response from audiences. The film is being praised by critics and viewers alike as a heart-touching love story. Presented by Dr. Nageshwar Rao Pujari and produced under Dolamukhi Subaltern Films and Monsoon Tales, the film is directed by Sailu Kompati. Released by Vamsi Nandipati Entertainments and Bunny Vas Works, the movie registered solid openings across both Telugu states.

Actor Chaitanya Jonnalagadda, who played the much-loved Venkanna, spoke about the success and the audience response during an interview today.

Chaitanya shared, “The response for Raju Weds Rambai is exactly what we expected. We always believed the audience would embrace it. People are connecting deeply with my character, Venkanna. I’ve been getting countless calls. I wasn’t even on social media earlier, now I had to create an account because of the response. I acted in Bubble Gum and HIT 3, but no one knew I was in those films. Venkanna finally gave me recognition. I prepared specifically for this character selecting costumes carefully, growing a beard, using oil on my hair all to create an intimidating presence. The director and I discussed every detail.”

“I was supposed to do a lead role in a People Media Factory project when Venkanna came to me. The role required a lot of effort, and my other film work was already in progress. So I initially told producer Rahul that I wasn’t sure I could handle both. But he said ETV Win and director Sailu strongly felt I was the only one who could do it. I have decided that I will work only when there is a strong production house or a trusted person behind the project, because earlier a film I acted in didn’t even get released. With ETV Win, Vamsi Nandipati, Bunny Vas, and Venu Udugula involved, I confidently accepted this film.”

“The real hero of this film is Suresh Bobbili. His background score moved people to tears in theatres. He created beautiful songs. I always said his respect would grow after this film, and that’s exactly what’s happening.”

“I come from a middle-class family and have faced many struggles. Those experiences help me perform. When Siddhu became a hero, our family became stable. I only entered acting after settling down financially. I don’t want to use my brother Siddhu’s name, I want to prove myself. That’s why I don’t invite him to any of my film events. If there’s an opportunity, I’d love to act with him someday.”

“After Bubble Gum, people in my team told me I would get father roles. After Venkanna, I know similar roles will come. But I won’t play a disabled character again unless it carries strong emotional weight. I don’t want to be typecast. I don’t prepare heavily for roles, I prefer expressing what I feel in the moment.”

He clarified, “I’m not in the US. I live in Hyderabad and I’m always reachable by phone. I don’t seek stardom, it’s something the audience should give, not something we chase. I came into the industry after settling in life, so I’m in no hurry. Currently, I’m working on a film directed by Pavan Sadineni starring Rajasekhar, and also on Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘Akashamlo Oka Thara’. A few more projects are in discussion.”

అఖిల్ రాజ్, తేజస్విని జంటగా నటించిన "రాజు వెడ్స్ రాంబాయి" సినిమా ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకొచ్చి ఘన విజయాన్ని దక్కించుకుంది. హార్ట్ టచింగ్ లవ్ స్టోరీ అంటూ ప్రేక్షకులు, క్రిటిక్స్ ఈ సినిమాకు ప్రశంసలు అందిస్తున్నారు. ఈ చిత్రాన్ని డా.నాగేశ్వరరావు పూజారి సమర్పణలో డోలాముఖి సుబల్టర్న్ ఫిలింస్, మాన్ సూన్స్ టేల్స్ బ్యానర్స్ పై వేణు ఊడుగుల, రాహుల్ మోపిదేవి నిర్మించారు. సాయిలు కంపాటి దర్శకత్వం వహించారు. వంశీ నందిపాటి ఎంటర్ టైన్ మెంట్స్, బన్నీ వాస్ వర్క్స్ బ్యానర్స్ పై వంశీ నందిపాటి, బన్నీ వాస్ గ్రాండ్ థియేట్రికల్ రిలీజ్ కు తీసుకొచ్చారు. "రాజు వెడ్స్ రాంబాయి" సినిమా రెండు తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల్లో మంచి ఓపెనింగ్స్ తో బాక్సాఫీస్ జర్నీ మొదలుపెట్టింది. "రాజు వెడ్స్ రాంబాయి" సినిమాలో వెంకన్న పాత్రలో నటించి ప్రేక్షకుల్ని ఆకట్టుకున్నారు నటుడు చైతన్య జొన్నలగడ్డ. ఈ సినిమా విజయంతో పాటు తన క్యారెక్టర్ కు వస్తున్న రెస్పాన్స్ గురించి ఈ రోజు జరిగిన ఇంటర్వ్యూలో మాట్లాడారు చైతన్య జొన్నలగడ్డ.

- "రాజు వెడ్స్ రాంబాయి" సినిమాకు వస్తున్న రెస్పాన్స్ మేము ఊహించిందే. ఈ మూవీ ప్రేక్షకుల ఆదరణ పొందుతుందని నమ్మకంతో ఉన్నాం. నేను చేసిన వెంకన్న క్యారెక్టర్ కు ఆడియెన్స్ బాగా కనెక్ట్ అవుతున్నారు. నాకు చాలా ఫోన్ కాల్స్ వస్తున్నాయి. సోషల్ మీడియాలో నాకు అక్కౌంట్ లేదు. ఇప్పుడు క్రియేట్ చేసుకోవాల్సివచ్చింది. నేను గతంలో బబుల్ గమ్, హిట్ 3 మూవీస్ చేశాను. ఆ సినిమాల్లో నేను ఉన్నానని కూడా ఎవరికీ తెలియదు. వెంకన్న క్యారెక్టర్ తో మాత్రం అందరిలో గుర్తింపు తెచ్చుకున్నా. ఈ వెంకన్న క్యారెక్టర్ కోసం మేకోవర్ పరంగా ప్రత్యేకంగా సిద్ధమయ్యాను. సెపరేట్ గా కాస్ట్యూమ్స్ సెలెక్షన్ చేసుకున్నాం. గడ్డం పెంచి, నెత్తికి ఆయిల్ తో చూడగానే భయపెట్టేలా ఆ పాత్రను మార్చాం. ఈ విషయంలో దర్శకుడు నేను డిస్కస్ చేసుకున్నాం.

- పీపుల్ మీడియా ఫ్యాక్టరీలో నేను లీడ్ రోల్ లో ఒక సినిమా చేయాల్సింది. అప్పుడు ఈ వెంకన్న పాత్ర నా దగ్గరకు వచ్చింది. ఈ పాత్ర కోసం చాలా కష్టపడాల్సిఉంటుంది. మరోవైపు నా సినిమాకు వర్క్ జరుగుతోంది. ఈ టైమ్ లో నేను వెంకన్న పాత్రను చేయగలనా అని చెప్పి నిర్మాత రాహుల్ కు నో చెప్పాను. కానీ ఈటీవీ విన్, దర్శకుడు సాయిలు మీరే కావాలని అడుగుతున్నారని రాహుల్ పట్టుపట్టడంతో ఓకే చెప్పా. నేను ఏ సినిమా చేసినా వెనక ఒక తెలిసిన ప్రొడక్షన్ లేదా వ్యక్తి ఉండాలని డిసైడ్ అయ్యా. ఎందుకంటే గతంలో నేను చేసిన మూవీ ఒకటి రిలీజ్ కు కూడా రాలేదు. ఈటీవీ విన్, వంశీ నందిపాటి, బన్నీవాస్, వేణు ఊడుగుల..ఇలా వీళ్లంతా ఉన్నారు కాబట్టి ధైర్యంగా ఈ మూవీకి అంగీకరించా.

- ఈ సినిమాకు అసలైన హీరో సురేష్ బొబ్బిలి. ఆయన బీజీఎం వింటుంటేనే థియేటర్స్ లో చాలా మంది ఏడ్చారు. మంచి సాంగ్స్ చేశారు. మూవీ రిలీజ్ అయ్యాక సురేష్ బొబ్బిలికి గౌరవం పెరుగుతుందని నేను చెప్పింది నిజమవుతోంది. మిడిల్ క్లాస్ కుటుంబం నుంచి వచ్చాను. చాలా స్ట్రగుల్స్ చూశాను. ఆ అనుభవాల నేపథ్యం నటుడిగా పర్ ఫార్మ్ చేసేందుకు ఉపయోగపడుతోంది. సిద్ధు హీరోగా ఎదిగే టైమ్ కు మా కుటుంబంలో అంతా సెట్ అయ్యింది. నేను జీవితంలో స్థిరపడిన తర్వాతే నటుడిగా ప్రయత్నాలు మొదలుపెట్టాను. సిద్ధు నా బ్రదర్ అని అతని పేరు ఉపయోగించుకోవడం నాకు ఇష్టం లేదు. ఏ సపోర్ట్ లేకుండా నాకు నేనుగా ప్రూవ్ చేసుకోవాలి అనుకుంటున్నా. అందుకే సిద్ధును మా సినిమాకు సంబంధించిన ఏ ఈవెంట్ కు పిలవడం లేదు. అవకాశం వస్తే సిద్ధుతో కలిసి నటిస్తా.

- నేను బబుల్ గమ్ సినిమా చేశాక...ఇక ఇలాంటి ఫాదర్ రోల్స్ వస్తాయి అని మా టీమ్ చెప్పేవారు. ఇప్పుడు వెంకన్న పాత్రలో గుర్తింపు వచ్చాక అలాంటివే అడుగుతారని తెలుసు. కానీ ఇలా దివ్యాంగుడి రోల్ అయితే చేయను. ఫాదర్ గా ఇలాంటి ఎమోషన్ ఉండే పాత్రలు చేస్తాను గానీ టైప్ కాస్టింగ్ చేసే క్యారెక్టర్స్ చేయాలనుకోవడం లేదు. నటుడిగా పెద్దగా ప్రిపేర్ కూడా కాను. అప్పుడు అనిపించింది చెప్పడానికే ఇష్టపడతా.

- నేను యూఎస్ లో లేను. హైదరాబాద్ లోనే ఉంటున్నా. మీకు ఒక్క ఫోన్ కాల్ లో అందుబాటులో ఉంటా. స్టార్ డమ్ కోరుకోవడం లేదు. అది మన నటన నచ్చి ప్రేక్షకులు ఇవ్వాలి, కోరుకుంటే రాదు. లైఫ్ లో సెటిల్ అయ్యాకే ఇండస్ట్రీలోకి వచ్చా కాబట్టి దీపం ఉండగానే ఇళ్లు చక్కబెట్టుకోవాలనే తొందరలేదు. ప్రస్తుతం పవన్ సాధినేని దర్శకత్వంలో రాజశేఖర్ నటిస్తున్న చిత్రంతో పాటు దుల్కర్ సల్మాన్ ఆకాశంలో ఒక తార సినిమా చేస్తున్నాను. మరికొన్ని ప్రాజెక్ట్స్ కు సంప్రదింపులు జరుగుతున్నాయి.
