Launched earlier this March in Hyderabad, Global star Ram Charan’s next with Uppena helmer Buchi Babu Sana will roll in August. The director confirmed the development in an interview he did with Vijay Sethupathi as a part of the latter’s Maharaja promotions.

Sethupathi, on his part, extended his best wishes to Buchi. “You know that I know that (RC16) story. It’s a superb story. I can tell you now itself it’s a super duper hit film. The way you’ve written is awesome,” the actor said addressing Buchi. It is worth mentioning that Buchi has immense love and respect for Sethupathi, who he directed in Uppena.

Tipped to be a hard-hitting sports drama set in the backdrop of Kabaddi, RC16 is reportedly titled Peddi. Venkata Satish Kilaru is producing it under Vriddhi Cinemas as his maiden production while Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings are presenting it. Oscar winner AR Rahman is scoring music. Bollywood beauty Jahnvi Kapoor is paired opposite Charan in the flick, with Kannada superstar Shivaraj Kumar playing a supporting role.

Right now, Ram Charan is in the final stage of completing his portions for Shankar’s Game Changer.
