Superstar Mahesh Babu’s anticipated next with top-drawer director SS Rajamouli has been under a veil of secrecy. While the latter spoke about the film’s genre in the run up to the Oscars ceremony a couple of years ago when his RRR was competing for Oscars in various categories, he has stopped talking about it once he began active pre-production. Although some reports indicated the filming has begun in Aluminum Factory, Hyderabad, there has been no official update about it.
Now, the latest is that the makers have travelled to Odisha to shoot some portions of the film. Apparently, the unit has chosen Odisha’s Koraput district as the venue for the next schedule which began today. As per reports, Rajamouli will be filming across Koraput, Jeypore and Deomali for the next couple of weeks. Mahesh, film’s antagonist Prithviraj Sukumaran and Priyanka Chopra will be partaking in this leg.
A globe-trotting action adventure to be shot in multiple international locales, the untitled project marks Durga Arts chief KL Narayana’s return to the production fold after 2006 release Rakhi. Known to be extremely choosy with his work, his credits include Kshana Kshanam, Santosham and Hello Brother among other films.
Mahesh-Rajamouli film is envisioned as a franchise, with MM Keeravani serving as the music composer and PS Vinod as the cinematographer.
