Ever saw this song filled up to its brim with viraha rasa. Many of us probably saw this song many times in chitralaharis, old hits programmes etc etc. Evergreen hero Natasamrat Sri Akkineni literally lives in that role in the movie Premnagar. I guess it would be dishonest on our side, if we say that we can imagine any other hero in that role even till today. Yes, let us talk about " Role and Actor - Made for each other" topic today.

To start with let us see how our golden-olden actors gave life to some of those really tough roles with their stellar performances.

Akkineni: -

It was an incident, which was about twenty years back. Two fans were walking on the road when they saw one poster in which they saw an actor with a bottle in hand and shawl on his shoulder. One of them said, "Arrey, kotta cinema la vundi… hit avuthundo ledo?" The other fan said in a very confident voice to the first one " Choodu brotheru!! Ee hero chetulo batalu, bhujana shaaluva unte chaalu, aa cinema tappaka silver jubileene!!!". Such was the confidence of the fan. Those fans might not be known to the world, but the hero certainly is (any guesses, yupp!! you're right). The hero is none other than our Akkineni and the movie is none other than Premabhishekam. Every one of us probably knows how big a hit was this Dasari directed blockbuster.

ANR garu literally lived in all those roles in which viraha rasa was predominant. His mannerisms, dialogue delivery, facial expressions are second to none especially in these kinds of roles. He acted in many movies in these roles. Evergreen Devadasu, thought provoking Dr.Chakravarthy, "involving" premnagar and premabhishekam are some of those roles that this maestro did in his cine career, which spans over six decades. Even till this day, we often realise that if any body has to say something, which is sad, they say that particular dialogue in Akkineni's voice using his mannerisms. Such is the popularity of Akkineni in these roles.
