did not see her. That girl's name is Suchitra. She later turns
out to be the daughter of the city police commissioner Vipra
Narayana (Prakash Raj).
The
fun starts now with how Chanti falls in love with Suchitra
and gives sleepless nights to Vipra Narayana. Will Chanti
get to marry Suchitra in the end or will Vipra Narayana succeed
in the are climax are the questions to be answered. To know
more about it, watch this 'Idiot' on big screen!
Artists:
Ravi
Teja: Ravi Teja's strength is his spontaneity in action
(behavioral action without any drama) and excellent dialogue
delivery with a tinge of accent. In Idiot, Poori Jagannath
used all the talent of Ravi Teja in right direction to the
maximum result. Ravi Teja is simply the best in this film.
He delivered his best performance so far in 'Manasichi
Choodu' and with this film he outsmarted his earlier performance.
The 'care-a-damn' attitude of the hero role got elevated and
has the shades of heroism performed by Chiranjeevi in Gang
Leader and Pawan Kalyan in Badri.
Rakshita:
She is cute and suited the role to the tee. In some of the
angles, she resembles Ramu's find Anthra Mali. The voice that
dubbed her role is also sweet.
Prakash
Raj: Prakash Raj performed the role of obsessive father
and villain of Idiot. He did well. His introduction scene
is pretty good.
Others:
Ali's cameo in the second half is very good. Jeeva's comedy-oriented
SI role is good. After a long gap, Kota got a full-length
role that projects the two-panged facets of a sincere Head
constable and helpless middle-class father. Kota did very
well.
Technical
Departments
Poori
Jagannath: Story - screenplay - direction - dialogues - production:
Idoit is a Poori Jagannath's film all the way. He seems to
be getting better and better with the films. He excelled in
all five departments he donned. Story of the film is a routine
one, but the treatment is excellent. Screenplay of the film
is tight. Poori Jagannath made sure that the comedy in the
film is injected into the character of hero. Hero does the
90% of comedy in this film. At the same time, director made
sure that the comedy of hero would not dilute the seriousness
of hero's love towards heroine. The most important aspect
of the film is dialogue department. Most of the dialogues
uttered by Ravi Teja are rib-tickling. Poori Jagannath also
excelled in the department of production, as the entire film
looks very rich.
Music:
Chakri's music is not so good when you listen to the album.
But on the screen, songs are better with good choreography
and nice picturization. Background music is good by Chakri.
Only Poori Jagannath seems to know how extract good background
music from Chakri. His background scores are not impressive
in other films.
Photography:
Shyam K Naidu excelled in camera work with this film. The
entire film has the right color combination and perfect shades
to match the mood of the scenes.
Positive
Points:
1. Poori
Jagannath's screenplay and dialogues
2. Ravi Teja's terrific performance
3. Shyam K Naidu's cool photography
Negative
Points:
1. Routine
storyline.
Analysis:
Idiot film is not an idiotic film. It's just an attempt to
get back the negative-titles like Donga, Killer, Kiratakudu
etc to the glory. The first half of the film is cool and second
half is also equally good. This film has got class and mass
elements in equal proportions. The confrontation scenes between
Prakash Raj and Ravi Teja are excellent. Idiot is a much-deserved
break for Poori Jagannath as the producer. Idiot is a good
film to watch for everybody.
