At times, even a confrontation can make love blossom between
two teenagers. And when their parents are sworn enemies, and
the youngsters like each other without knowing this fact,
this can lead to a volcano-plot for a violent love story on
celluloid.
Sri Lakshmi
Narasimha Productions' "Aadi," directed by newcomer
V.V. Vinayak from his own story, deals with an emotional,
romantic tale set against a factionist backdrop. NTR Jr. plays
the teenager who falls in love with his adversary's daughter
(debutante Keerthi Chawla) and becomes a don of sorts.
"NTR,
cast as Adi Kesava Reddy, is a fun-loving college student,
a computer buff and a cricket player. Circumstances force
him to become a don, and he takes on a wealthy but vicious
man (Rajan P. Dev), who plays the villain.
"He
is on a mission, which his father could not accomplish when
Aadi was a five-year-old. In the meantime he falls in love
with a girl, not aware that she belongs to the family of his
adversary. But even after he comes to know of it, he vows
to marry the girl. He also decides to take revenge on his
family's tormentor. How he ultimately achieves both has been
dealt with sentiment. There is also a bit of action, love
and revenge. The film projects yet another facet of the young
NTR's talent as an all-rounder," says Vinayak, who is
happy to make his debut with this hero, and in the company
of senior technicians, led by Paruchuri brothers.
According
to Paruchuri Gopalakrishna, "Vinayak wrote a gripping
story which showcases human emotions mingled with love and
action. It also shows that today's youth are not just fun-loving,
and when a situation demands, they can be brave enough to
fight against injustice."
NTR Jr.
says, "In the second half of the film, my role undergoes
a lot of emotional upsurges. It is the story of Aadi Kesava
Reddy (known to his friends as Aadi), and his final victory
over love and revenge. Hence the title.
"Vinayak
will probably seta new trend in films based on love stories."
Keerthi
Chawla says her role of an egoistic modern girl offers ample
scope to perform. "Without knowing that the hero hails
from a family which is a sworn enemy of our family, I fall
in love with him. And this leads to intriguing situations.
Producer
P. Nagamani says the film is nearing completion. "In
the last schedule at Vizianagaram, we will be shooting the
remaining talkie portions and action scenes. We have shot
scenes at Hyderabad, Bobbili, Kurnool, Vizag and the surrounding
areas. The 15-minute climax is thrilling. We plan to release
the film by the third week of March.
Ali plays
a close friend of the hero while L.B. Sriram has been cast
as a principal who behaves like a student. Chalapati Rao,
M.S. Narayana, Ahuti Prasad, Raghu Babu, Rajeev Kanakala,
Venumadhav, Sangeetha and Bangalore Padma are also in the
cast.
Dialogue
is by Paruchuri brothers, music by Manisharma, camera by Ramprasad,
and fights by Vikrama Dharma. The executive producer is N.
Srinivas.
