IB on wheels in Naidupeta
AW released in one theater (Srinivasa Teja) in Naidupeta.
Interestingly, this theater is screening 7 shows today and
of them just 3 shows are of Andhrawala. This is primarily
due to the pressure from Chiranjeevi's fans that they would
not be satisfied until 4 shows of Tagore are screened on the
occasion of finishing 100 days run. Andhrwala is being shown
at 10AM, 1PM and 7PM. Tagore show timings today are 7AM, 4PM.10PM
and 1 AM (early hours of Jan 2nd 2004).
Theater List at Nellore:
Archana, Kavery, Krishna, Indira, Venkatramana and Nartaki
(from tomorrow replacing Tagore).
IB team is reporting that though the fans are excited with
the power packed performance of NTR they are disappointed
largely due to the insipid second half of the movie. We received
similar response from Proddutur,Ananthpur, Hindupur, Tirupati
& Madanapalle.
IB on wheels would reach Tirupati & Kakinada shortly.
Stay tuned for updates.
12:40 pm: 1st Jan 2004:

There are 5 shows scheduled at Archana whereas the other theaters
of AW are showing only 4 shows. There are heavy crowds at Archana

between the fans as Tagore's 100 days celebrations would be
on way at the nearby Nartaki theater. It has been reliably
learnt AW is being released with 17 prints, a first time in
Nellore for any movie.
Kota, Kanuru and Hindupurpeta are witnessing for the first
time a movie being released in local theaters. The print has
been given for a price of Rs.3 lakhs instead of the usual
40-50,000 paid for other movies in these centers.

Second half combined report from Gudiwada & Tanguturu
Story: NTR is put into jail. Benarjee and Nazar come
to bail out NTR. Then they take him to show him his ancestoral
property. The Mumbai goons come to Hyderabad in search of
NTR. After getting rid of the goons, NTR asks Benarjee to
tell him about his origins. Then they narrate the flashback
about the life of NTR's father (called as Sankaranna) who
is killed by Sayaji Shinde after a lot of bloodshed. Now NTR
goes to Mumbai to settle scores with the baddies and avenge
his father's death. All ends well in the climax.
Comments:
1. The
secnd half is too serious with less entertainment value.
2. Last song of the film is excellent.
3. The costumes of hero are good.
4. Second half pales out in comparison to first half.
5. The overall feedback of the first half is that it's average
6. The make-up for father NTR character slightly resembles
that of father Bala Krishna in Chenna Kesava Reddy.

First half combined report from Gudiwada & Tanguturu
Story: The film starts with Benarjee running away with
a kid from goons summoned by Sayaji Shinde. He leaves the
kid with an old woman in a hut at a slum. That kid grows up
and transforms into a hot-blooded youngster. Benarjee is desperately
searching for the hero whom he had left with the old woman
20 years back.
Rahul
Dev wants to vacate the dwellers of a basti in which hero
is staying. They put up a make-shift temple of Lord Vinayaka
and proclaim that they cannot vacate the basti because the
lord is not willing.
Meanwhile
Rakshita - sister of Rahul Dev - gets selected as Miss Andhra
in a beauty contest and in one incident she develops an instant
liking towards NTR. To get rid of Rahul Dev's pestering, NTR
goes on the mission of raping Rakshita. But instead, she tries
to rape him and he runs away from the scene.
Rakshita
comes to NTR and starts staying with him. Rahul Dev sends
goons across to NTR's place. When they try to stab NTR, Rakshita
obstructs and she gets injured. Then Rahul Dev files an attempt
to murder case on NTR. When presented in court NTR says that
he is not having any proof of identities and asks for minimal
stuff like ration cards etc. Meanwhile NTR is arrested and
put in a jail. This news is published in newspapers along
with the photo of NTR. Because of the similarity to father
NTR, Benarjee and Sayaji Shinde (in Dubai) recognize him.
