Why do people fall in love? Is it mere physical charm that
attracts young hearts or deep inner beauty intelligence and
the union of two minds that form the basis of love?
This aspect has been probed in Usha Kiran Movies latest venture,
Manasuntechallu directed by jonnalagadd Srinivasa Rao. Sai
Kiran, Sivaji and newcomer Jennifer play the lead in this
three dimensional love story based on a real life incident.
With the picturization of two songs in Malaysia and the remaining
portions in Ramoji Film City, the movies's shoot is complete
and is now in its post-production stage.
"It is not one of those run-of-the mill kind of triangle
love stories. Taking the central point from a real life incident
that took place in Australia, Shanti wrote a story which gives
a fresh feel for the audience," says director Srinivasa
Rao.
"The story revolves around three characters - Hari (played
by Sai Kiran), Visakha (Sivaji) and Sravanthi (Jennifer),
all students of a computer institute. Hari is mild mannered.
He firmly believes that love is sacred and to fall in love
itself is a great feeling."
"On the other hand, his father has certain old fashioned
ideas about him. Quite in contrast is Visakha, who is an extrovert.
His philosophy is that one should not fall in love, once in
love; one should achieve his goal, come what may. And there
is this girl Sravanthi, who is quite balanced, knows how to
judge people and believes that before falling in love, one
should learn to love oneself. And the two boys are in love
with her."
"To fulfill his love, Hari takes a decision, that is
bound to baffle the viewers. And that is the suspense part
in the story. The conflict these three characters undergo
gives a different feel to the movie. From start to finish
it touches the depths of love besides providing wholesome
entertainment. A highlight is a farewell song filmed on the
lead artistes, dancers and about thousand junior artistes
in a specially erected set in RFC."
"Present-day youth can identify with the characters and
are in for a message too - that there is nothing wrong in
falling in love, but they should has been told in an entertaining
manner."
Sai Kiran says for the first time in his career, he has got
an opportunity to show various expressions in a role that
has different shades to it.
"I always stand by truth and this creates problems for
me and the subsequent situations bring in ripples of humor
for the viewers. I hope this film would turn out to be Jennifer
expresses similar sentiments. "Sravanthi expresses her
views on any topic quite frankly. And this frankness leads
to a curious turn in her life."
Executive producer A.V. Rao has this to say, "The title
itself denotes the nature of the film. It reflects the tenderness
of love. The three principal characters represent three different
types of today's youth in their style of thinking. Not just
these three, every character in the movie has some kind of
dramatic element to it with a touch of realism. After post
production work, we plan to release the film this summer."
