The scene and the setting looked straight from a Hollywood
action flick. The sprawling grounds of the Sainik school at
Korukonda, near Vizianagaram, with its majestic campus building
in the background, was converted into a battleground for the
picturization of the climax scenes for Friendly Movies' Production
No.2 directed by B. Gopal with Taraka Ram better known as
N.T.R. and Arti Agarwal in the lead. Gazala plays the other
female lead.
There was mayhem all around with jeeps, cars, carts and every
other mode of vehicles parked there, thrown high into the
sky and falling like nine pins as the bombs set off by the
villain's henchmen went off all around the ground. The hero
takes on the 42-member gang while around 400 junior artistes
in the guise of the local population watch the gory incident
with fear, anger and anguish writ large on their faces. Action
director Vijay choreographed this mammoth fight sequences
shot for 11 days with all the principal artistes participating
in it.
"The heroine (Arti Agarwal) is kidnapped by the villain's
gang and held captive in the building. The hero is on a mission
to rescue her. The villain and his men one hand and carrying
the heroine in the other hand, the hero single-handedly takes
on the ruthless villains. This is part of the climax scene
in which all the major artistes participated," informs
producer Chanti Addala.
N.T.R., on his part, compares his role with that of his grandfather
in the immortal classic Gundamma Katha. Nagma plays the heroine's
mother and Oorvasi plays the district collector.
