What is the relevance of the title Ghajini to the story?
Ghajini Mohammad attacked his enemy for 17 times though he
failed in each attempt. The hero character in this film too
attack villain continuously despite of his memory problems.
How comfortable are you with Telugu language?
I am not fluent in Telugu though I have lots of Telugu friends.
I am going to learnt it very soon.
What
home work did you do to play Ghajini character?
I went to hospitals and met patients with memory problems.
I observed how they behave and react. I also had video tapes
of various patients from those hospitals and repeatedly watched
them. I tonsured my head to play Ghajini's character.
What
kind of audiences Ghajini would appeal to?
1st half is being immensely liked by class audiences. Second
half is more for mass audiences. But the characterization
of patient is being appreciated by one and all.
How
different is Ghajini from other films?
The definition of glamour is changing to different characterization.
The Aparichitudu film talked about split personality. Ghajini
talks about STML (Short Term Memory Loss). Films like these
inject new style of filmmaking and create new trend.
What
is your reaction to the gesture of Chiranjeevi?
It was most unexpected of such a big hero like Chiranjeevi
to call me and appreciate. He also sent me bouquet. I was
flattered. He also told me that only an actor can understand
the pain and hard work that goes into doing roles like Ghajini.
I am really thrilled.
