Tell
us about your background?
I belong to a Marwadi family in Jaipur (Rajastam). I started
my career as model in private music albums by Venus label.
That is when I got selected for Slokam film when director
Bharat came to Mumbai to do audition. Though my first film
Slokam did not do well, I got enough fame with Adirindayya
Chandram film.
What's
your educational background?
I completed my 12th class after which I joined the modeling
profession. I am 20 years old now. Currently I am doing B.Com
through distance learning.
Do
you like your image as glamour doll?
No. I want to do performance oriented films. What you see
on the screen is not what I am. I am capable of doing much
challenging roles. I grew up watching Sridevi's films. I want
to do powerful characters.
Do
you have any other qualifications apart from acting?
I am a black belt holder in Taekwondo martial art. It is very
similar to that of kickboxing. I did natural fight sequences
in Pandu film without using any rope work.
What
are your hobbies?
I love watching TV, listening to music while dancing, planting
trees and shopping.
You
had been in Hyderabad for almost a year, did you pickup Telugu
language?
I can understand 50% of Telugu and can speak a little. Telugu
is a sweet language though a difficult one to learn.
What
kind of food do you like?
I love any thing that is cooked by my mother. I eat simple
food.
Do
you take any precautions to maintain your physique?
I do exercises and yoga. I also drink more water. I do not
have any diet control.
Who
are your favorite actors/actresses?
I like Chiranjeevi in Telugu and Ajay Devagan in Hindi. Among
the actresses, it is Soundarya and Trisha in Telugu and Sridevi
in Hindi.
What
are the films you are currently working on?
I am doing promising roles in three films. Gowtam SSC is ready
for the release in December month end. I am doing solo heroine
role in Ravi Babu's Party film. I am doing traditional Andhra
girl character in MS Raju's Pournami.
