An open letter to Allu Arvind

Allu Aravind gariki,

Sir, I have been an ardent fan of Megastar since long. I have been following his movies and I can say that he is not getting the right genre of movies that could fit his bill and catch up the pulses of the extra-ordinary mass following he has culminated all through the years of hard work and entrepreneurship as a trend setter. He was the first one to introduce lots of developments and trends in the industry and took the stamina of Telugu movie to new heights. Whether it was a movie of extensive canvas like "Raakshasudu" and "Marana Mrudangam" which were technically trendsetters in those days even before the advent of Varma style filmmaking. He has also shown his mettle in movies like "Swayamkrushi" and "Rudraveena" and he was the one who introduced break dancing to the Telugu screen and many more things which went unnoticed.

He was the one who kept up with international trends and introducing them into the telugu movie field and I am proud to be one of the innumerous fans he has who can give their everything for him. But I have also been a responsible person and am trying to be a fan who he could be proud of.. I am doing my M.S in USA now according to the wishes of my parents and I will fulfill my duty towards my family as told by him in numerous occasions and interviews on how he wants his ideal fan to be. I have not seen your movie "Daddy" till date as I was in US and I don't want to watch it on DVD. I will wait till I can watch it on big screen no matter how long I have to wait for it. Coming to the point, we all fans of megastar know that he has got lot of untapped potential as an actor, which is still to come in spite his different characters of nearing 150 movies.

We are very eager to see the movie "Indra" hitting the silver screen and erasing all the records. We are satisfied with the music and songs, which preluded the movie. Dutt garu has put all the experience and interest he has in the field and is making this movie into a prestigious venture contemplating the Jubilee year for "Vyjayanti Movies" which we regard as one of "our" banners irrespective of the movie and hero he ropes in. I am unhappy that he has also become the victim of the "factionist" trend set by some one and we find lots of stills in similar to other faction movies we have seen so far and the news (or rumors?) of various dialogues in the movie are also drawing attention but is creating a negative impact in the minds of megastar's fans here. I know we are nothing compared to the humongous amount of home crowd back on telugu gadda.. but I sought to let it come out since we know that you people are open to suggestions and constructive criticism. It is up to you to judge whether my opinion is constructive or just some perception based on various rumors. Whatever it is, we hope and pray that there is something more in the movie than the regular "champutha..!" and "narukutha..!" stuff which we are bored of seeing by now.

We also know that megastar has the habit of following various developments over the web and unfortunately, we don't see much news on our website chiranjeevi.com especially we hoped that it would be updated by the time of audio release of Indra but it still contains the stale info of old news. We request that you put regular news and stuff of chiru sir so as we don't have to rely on other gossip news. The only source of latest news we have is idlebrain.com and we commend their efforts to be the leaders in e-zine, which we think they are in the Telugu film industry. But we will be happy to have an official source of our own which can have latest updates and put an end to various perceptions of people like me. After reading this letter from start I could not judge if it should be addressed to you or chiru sir but I made it to you as you execute the media affairs and we know you are the un-named leader of chiru fans and our voice. We expect a never before chiru in your movie which we heard is going to start soon. Please make it as a pucca mass movie though I like his class movies personally. We know that chiru sir got nothing new to prove right now as his name itself is enough and it speaks history.

regards,

Aditya
