Movies revolving around supernatural powers are not uncommon
the Telugu screen. What makes Samsritha Films, Anveshana different
from such movies is that it does not dwell on the gory part
of it, but the emphasis is more on adventure and research,
according to the movie's director Sagar who is known for his
action-flicks.
The theme is based on a young man's (played by Ravitheja)
search for his lost brother who goes into a forest along with
friends and the search takes him into a research on the unknown
powers which leads to lot of adventure in the company of his
college mate and wife (Radhika Varma, a Delhi theatre personality),
which in turn leads to horror, suspense and entertainment.
They were not in the original script. Why this change of heart
from the director?
"I was not happy with the original title, Kshudra, but
the producers (Prabhakar Reddy) felt it will make people curious.
But now they agree with me and we have changed to a more softer
title, Anveshana."
"Now we are even more confident that our project will
be received well by the audience who have always appreciated
different concepts, if they are well made.
To tell you honesty, I have this belief that there are some
super natural powers about which we know very little or rather
unaware of. I had lot of interaction with Swamijis and tantkriks,
and did lot of research into this subject," says Sagar.
Another salient feature is its musical score by debutant Madhukar,
an assistant with R.P. Patnaik.
His guru had rendered a song lending glamour to the score.
Since the director had always sailed against the existing
trends and came up trumps, he hopes to break the monotony
(of love stories) with this thriller.
