Story

Nani (Allari Naresh) is a trepid and fearful guy who works as a software engineer. Bullet (Sakshi Chaudhary) is a mafia don in Dubai. Her mother doesn’t know about Bullet’s profession. Bullet is forced to come back to India when her mother falls ill. Her mother’s last wish is to get Bullet married. That’s when Nani falls in love at first sight with Bullet when she visits a temple wearing a traditional dress. Rest of the story is all about what happens when a coward like Nani marries a gangster girl without knowing her real profession.

Artists Performance

Actors: Allari Naresh is a seasoned artist for the kind of role he played in this movie. He succeeds in creating comedy easily. Sakshi Chaudhary should look like don and should not look caricaturish (since it’s a comedy film and a lady is playing don). She pulls it off convincingly. Praveen is good as buddy of Allari Naresh. Posani Krishna Murali is entertaining as a guy whose life is timed with TV serial schedules. Saptagiri’s character is not written properly. Krishna Bhagawan’s character is entertaining.

Technical departments

Story - screenplay - direction: The basic idea of a coward marrying a don is inspired by a Korean comedy ‘My Wife is a Gangster (2001)’. But the story development has no influences of the korean movie. Debutant director Sai Kishore Macha made sure that the first half is engaging. However, he didn’t write an engaging screenplay in second half. He handled comedy scenes well. But didn’t end the story in a gripping way.

Other departments: Music by Sai Karthik is fine. There is a remix of sannajaji song from Vajrayudham movie. Some of the dialogues are good. Cinematography is alright. Fights involving heroine are stylishly composed. Production values by AK Entertainments banner are good.

Analysis: First half of the film is promising and it sets up the plot well. Second half goes slow and screenplay should have been better there. Plus points of the film are Allari Naresh, Sakshi and comedy episode. James Bond is a film that focuses on the strength of Allari Naresh - comedy characterization. We need to wait and see how Telugu movie lovers lap up a comedy film that's released 2 weeks after Baahubali!
