Kalyan (Nithin) is an unemployed youngster. He falls in love at the first sight with a sales girl (Yami Gautam) when he delivers a cover to her on behalf of his friend. He joins as courier boy just for her. Meanwhile, something sinister is taking place at a big corporate hospital. Kalyan has a package to deliver and he is chased by strangers. Rest of the story is all about what is there in the package and how Kalyan becomes victorious. 
Actors: It’s a different movie for Nithin with a lighter vein characterization in the first half followed by action orientation. Nithin blends in perfectly and does justice. Yami Gautam is nice as a sales girl. Ashutosh Rana plays a sinister doctor role. Nasser is impactful in a vital role of an activist. Satyam Rajesh gets a lengthy role in a prominent film after a long gap and he is entertaining. Saptagiri is wasted in a Sampoo spoof role. Harsha Vardhan, Ravi Prakash and Vasu Inturi played supporting roles. 
Story - screenplay - direction: Courier Boy has a package to deliver and villains have to snatch it from him before he delivers it to the recipient. This basic story line resembles us of Hollywood thriller ‘Premium Rush’. Director Prem Sai weaves a love story and a family emotion around this concept. Debutant director Prem Sai comes up with a decent work regarding thrill aspect. But the first half which contains love and entertainment is not fresh enough. Movie is good towards end. Songs and a couple of forced entertainment episodes are uninteresting as they break the smooth flow.
Other departments: Songs scored by Karthik and Anup Rubens are okay, but are absolutely not needed for a thriller format film like CBK. Improper songs placement also obstructs the narration. Background music by Sandeep Chowta is good. Cinematography by Sathya Ponmar is nice. Editing by Praveen Pudi is alright.
Analysis: Plus points are Nithin, basic plot and a couple of thrilling episodes in the second half. The romance thread in the film offers no freshness. Though the length is 104 minutes, there is still a need to edit songs and a few irrelevant comedy episodes. The screenplay should have been more arresting. On a whole, Courier Boy Kalyan is an attempt to blend in family elements and romance to an interesting thriller story.
