Story

Rishi (Ashwin Babu) is an NRI bachelor who attends wedding of his friend in Vizag. Pinky (Tejaswi) is a righteous girl who wants to realise the unfulfilled dream of her father by becoming an IAS. Rishi and his friends unintendedly spoil the marriage by getting drunk at the venue. Rishi had to catch a flight back in USA in Hyderabad. Pinky has to attend civils interview. They had to share a cab from Vizag to Hyderabad. Rest of the story is all about how they start as enemies and end up as lovers.

Artists Performance

Actors: Ashwin Babu shows flexibility in expressions in this movie compared to his debut Raju Gari Gadhi. He has fluidity in his dances. His dialogue delivery is also good. It’s a role that suits the chirpiness of Tejaswi Madivada. She has also done well in emotional scenes. Signdha is a perfect fit for the cabbie role and provides entertainment. Shakalaka Shankar does a spoof on Gabbar Singh 2 teaser and Saptagiri on Sreemanthudu. Shakalaka Shankar excels in a dialogue which defends the efforts of thieves. Vidyullekha Raman does a spoof on Kumari 21F. Pruthvi who has been continuously doing spoofs in movies has done character role of a police officer. He is good. Viva Harsha is good as a hacker who always get it late.

Technical departments

Story - screenplay - direction: Debutant director Rakesh Shashii chooses a story that is pretty cool with social media playing a catalyst. Screenplay of the film is nice in the first half where a couple sits in the same car and fight a battle in virtual media. He infuses freshness with characters and scenes in first half, though some of them are amateurishly made. However, the second half becomes plain as the conflicts are resolved in a pretty normal fashion. Dialogue of Shakalaka Shankar about thief entertains us more than the spoofs of GabbarSingh2/Sreemanthudu/Kumari21F. I liked the way titles are designed in FB page style with nice captions.

Other departments: Music by Sai Karthik is alright. Padipoyane song is very good on screen and to listen to. Cinematography is just alright considering the budget of the movie. Editing by Karthik Srinivas is fine. Dialogues are contemporary.

Analysis: Story of the film offers something different by having the social media as the catalyst. It’s a romantic comedy that takes off well. It would have been good, if the same tempo in second half is maintained. First half’s conflict is well established, but second half becomes flat. Advantage of the film is youth orientation and unique poster designs (loved the concept of poster in poster that created good buzz). It would have been a good entertainer if the second half is properly done.
