Openletter to Guna Sekhar

Dear Mr. Gunashekar,

I am delighted to know that Jaya Bheri Art Productions will be producing "Gona Ganna Reddy" with NTR as hero under your direction. Please accept my congratulations for having selected such a wonderful historical subject.

It is absolutely a fantastic historical novel written by "Adivi Bapiraju": 8-10-1895---22-9-1952. Gona Ganna Reddy's character has all shades and it will aptly suit NTR's age, body language and acting skills. I think no other hero, in the younger generation, in his wildest of wild dreams also can ever think of doing this character. It is, indeed, a great decision to make a movie on Gona Ganna Reddy. In this context I would like to share my thoughts with you through this Open Letter.

1. Gona Ganna Reddy dates back to Rani Rudrama Devi Period. You have to be very careful in the dialogues department. Please ensure that the language is lucid and even an illiterate can easily understand it. Then only the subject will reach the masses as well and will become a very big hit.

2. Since it is a very vast subject and having so many characters, it is important that you select only those characters, which are well connected to the story and without which the story does not move.

3. The story requires top class screenplay, narration and very rich presentation to make it one of the best in the Indian Panorama. To achieve this objective it is better you discuss the subject with learned people like Dr.C.Narayana Reddy, Dr. Mudigonda Sivaprasad etc., who can definitely help you come out with an excellent script. But the screenplay has to be done by yourself. You are exceptionally good at making the screenplay very crisp, which will make the audience spellbound and your superb taking will certainly make the movie a breath taking one.

4. Please take maximum care in Costumes Department. The Costumes should not only reflect the grand old culture but also match the present trend. It is a very very important aspect for the success of the movie.

5.Last, but not the least, you should exercise utmost care in selecting the cast especially for the characters of Rani Rudrama Devi, Annambica, Lakumaya Reddy and Vittala Dharaneesudu.

I sincerely hope that you will take my suggestions in their right perspective and do not misunderstand me for coming out with an open letter like this.

I wish you a stupendous success in your efforts to make this movie to take a place in the "Oscar Entries"
