Here are the excerpts of chitchat Parvathy Omanakuttan had with the media –

“It has been a great experience in the last one year. I was crowned as Miss South India in Hyderabad. I lived in a tribal hut and gone for one-week safari in South Africa. I reached to this position due to continuous support from parents and friends. I believe that if you dream, you should have the courage to make it true,” she told media.

Are you upset on losing out Miss World crown by a whisker?
Everybody enters the competition with zeal to win it. Hence I was disappointed when I lost it. Destiny plays a bigger role in all our lives. God did not want me to win it as he had bigger design for me in some other form.

Did you do any mistake in the final?
I did my best. I was always on the run and I was ready to take up any challenge that is thrown on my way. I feel that luck factor did not favor me.

Are you open to act in films?
I had been getting several film offers. I am open to do films if I get the right script. Currently I am taking break after a hectic year. I am spending time with my family now.

What are your future plans?
I have certain plans which I don't want to disclose at this point of time. Let those plans come as surprises to you all.

It's like a bud blossoming into a flower.

How do you like Hyderabad?
I have fond memories of Charminar and Chudi Bazaar. I have a few relatives in Hyerabad. I love Hyderabadi food.

Any beauty tips from you?
One has to work hard to be beautiful. Genetics also play a vital role in beauty. I suggest everybody not to experiment with skin and hair.

Beauty or Fashion. Which one do you prefer?
I think beauty and fashion goes hand in hand. Hence I prefer both.
