Babu (Nani) is a laid back student with a lot of attitude. He falls in love with Keerthi (Keerthy Suresh) at first sight. Keerthi values her daddy (Sachin Khedekar) so much that she wants to marry a guy recommended by her father. Streetsmart Babu makes sure that Keerthi falls for her. But her daddy selects a cop Siddu (Naveen Chandra) as her groom. Keerthi asks Babu to convince her father. Rest of the story is all about how Babu convinces Keerthi’s father.
Nani: The entire script of the film revolves around Nani character. Nani does one-man show in this film by carrying entire film on his shoulders with perfect timing and a mischievous boy-next-door body language. Only few actors like Nani have the capacity to make ‘wedding card episode’ (Nani - Keerthy - Tulasi) work in such a flawless manner with excellent use of body language and expressions (no dialogues). However, there is too much of Rajnikanth style of dialogue delivery in this movie (it all started with Vennela Kishore combo scenes in Bhale Bhale Magadivoy).
Others: Keerthy Suresh is demure in this movie just like her first Telugu film Nenu Sailaja. She has performed well and is an asset. Naveen Chandra plays an important character that stands as obstacle to hero and he did well. Sachin Khedekar is alright as heroine’s father. Posani Krishna Murali provides entertainment. Tulasi and Easwari Rao are good in the roles of mother. Rao Ramesh gets a limited yet vital role that appears in interval and climax. . 
Story - screenplay - direction: Plot point and progression of story reminds us of director Trinadh Rao’s earlier movie Cinema Choopista Mava (and also Bhale Bhale Magadivoy - excessively careful father and a prospective cop groom). It’s a routine story with predictable screenplay with an ending that’s a trademark Dil Raju’s films (dialogues on family values). Director Trinadh Rao has written the hero’s characterization well and made sure that the entertainment episodes have come out well (Nani’s subhalekha rasukunna episode, wedding card episode with Tulasi, Pencil Poindi complaint by a kid etc). Trinadh Rao is known for strong scripts, but he has given preference to heroism and entertainment in this movie.
Other departments: Music by Devi Sri Prasad is engaging with nice beats and youthful songs. Cinematography by Nizar Shafi (Bhale Bhale Magadivoy fame) is good. Prasanna Kumar Bezawada who came to fore with his entertaining dialogues in Cinema Choopista Mava pens very entertaining dialogues for this movie too. Art direction by AS Prakash is decent. Editing by Prawin Pudi is alright. Production values by Sri Venkateswara Creations banner are good.
Analysis: First half of the film is alright and second half conflict point is not engaging enough. Plus points are Nani, entertainment and dialogues. On the flipside, story is routine and screenplay is predictable. The makers of the film are very clear about their intention while making this movie. That is to give entertainment oriented film with a bit of message at the end. Nani has single handedly carried the film with his performance. On a whole, Nenu Local provides entertainment despite being routine.
