Gautham (Raj Tharun) is a blind man who works as RJ in a radio station. He falls in love with an eye doctor Nethra (Hebah Patel) by misrepresenting himself as a normal guy. He gets eyes of Kulakarni (Rajendra Prasad) transplanted and starts having visions. Rest of the story is all about his love story and how he dealt with his visions.
Actors: Raj Tarun made sure his energy and attitude adds up to the blind character. His acting as blindman is impressive. He entertains with his nice comedy timing. Hebah Patel is alright as a leading lady. Rajendra Prasad does his part with zest. Raja Ravindra makes his presence felt as a villain. Sayaji Shinde is seen on Telugu screen after a long gap in a significant role. Asish Vidyarthi plays a small, yet important role. Sudarshan Reddy and Satya entertain as friends of hero.
Story - screenplay - direction: Story of the film offers variety. Screenplay of the film is decent and it keeps shifting genres from time to time. It starts as a noble theme, then becomes a psychological drama, followed by a horror theme and then culminates into something else. Director Veligonda Srinivas succeeds in story and screenplay departments. But the narration is too massy and loud. A film like this needs slick orientation. But the makers have made a conscious choice to cater to the masses. First half of the film is alright with an interesting interval twist. The second half becomes routine mainly due to the fact that hero tries to make other characters bakras (which is a stale element in Telugu films by now). There were so many opportunities to play on situations and exploit a great deal of drama around it, but director has chosen to simplify it (example: dumb aspect of heroine in first half). Films of thriller genre need detailing, but the director has simplified it. 
Other departments: Music by Sekhar Chandra is routine. Background music is little loud. Cinematography is just okay. Dialogues are good. Some of the fights are well picturised (especially the climax fight where hero uses the situation to his advantage). Editing is alright. Production Values by AK Entertainments is nice.
Analysis: Having the hero character as blind has its innate advantage in creating interest. Plus points of the film are screenplay and story of many genres. On the flip side, second half should have been more interesting and the narration is unconvincing. Just like AK Entertainment’s previous film with the same hero - Kittu Vunnadu Jagratha (where hero is a dog-kidnapper), this film too has character variation and is aimed mostly at masses. On a whole, Andhhagadu is for masses.
