Open letter to Nagarjuna

This is another moment for me, just like the one when I was very young. My sister and myself wrote you a letter when we were both quite young- I was in my 4th -5th class. My sister is 4 yrs younger than me. My dad is a doctor and admires your dad a lot which was the reason he took us to film Vikram, but since then we have not missed any movie of yours. We are not those kind of fans who watch each movie a lot many times but even we have not been able to help ourselves over a few movies.

Luckily for us you replied to that letter and sent us a snap of yours (not the kind where you pose of for cameras but a quaint little one in which you are straddling a chair). You even wrote a letter saying that at that point of time in our young lives studies should come 1st and not movies though you could watch them - I can now tell you my dad was most pleased - he always maintained that you were a man of integrity just like your father.

Anyway we have grown up now and I am now a doctor in the UK - Liverpool, my sister is an engineer. We still admire you but no longer would do such childish things like come over to your house (yaa I did that when I was in Hyderabad and your dad came out and met us, said my name was the same as his granddaughter and that you were in some shooting in Banglore) or write letters to you (this one can be excused).

There was a time when all your movies were adventures of some kind, something new, untried and my whole family loved that phase. I agree that maybe all didn't do as well as we would have liked but we were proud of you. It saddens me that there was a later phase where though we couldn't fault your performance (you have been improving with each movie) the movies no longer were never to miss and cherish - maybe we are asking you a lot to keep it up always!! Sorry.

Now you have struck a balance and we enjoy your movies, but we would like it if you did more movies on your own manner and experimented in the nicest possible way.
