Open letter to Krishna Vamsi

Sir,

I daily visit online portal idlebrain.com.

I am writing this in reply to director Krishna Vamsi's comments over character artist Kota Srinivas Rao, published on idlebrain.com. This not to criticize/praise either of them. These are just my feelings. Hope you publish this in idlebrain.com.

Coming to the point, I want to know one thing what actually KV wants tell us! Kota is a drunker and very jealous of other good actors and he can go to any level to get a role in creative and very good directors like KV. That's it? But kota is one of the greatest actor Telugu industry has ever produced. Much much better than KV's pet actor Prakash Raj. I am not making Prakash Raj anything less nor criticizing him. He is a very good/great actor. No doubt about it. But still kota is beyond his reach.

If anybody has a doubt see the variations kota can produce in his dialog deliveries and of course his excellent timing. He can leave his mark on any role he plays, be it comedy, villain, a middle class father or any role for that matter. The ones said by KV are just Kota's defects. The defects are common to every human being. Can KV say except Kota everybody else in Telugu film industry won't drink.

Not only this take history for that matter, you can see number persons who are exceptionally talented and still their character is bad. The famous example is Voltaire. Who is equally famous for his exceptionally talent and his misdeeds. Compared to him, Kota's defects are minute.

Coming to the jealous part of it, it's common to any body. But it seems a bit excessive in Kota. But as I previously said, Kota the actor beyond that defect. Many a times jealous will bring out exceptional talent of people. So KV please gave two equally competitive/good roles to Prakash Raj and see how it will bring the best out of Kota. (It's not difficult for creative director like KV to create such roles.) It will be a real treat for the audience to watch.

Knowing that even after acting in 700 films, Kota is dying to act in creative director KV's direction who can really challenge the actor in him and he even came to the level of criticizing KV publicly to fulfill that desire, I am feeling proud of Kota. Idi natana pi Kota ku kala makkuvanu/tapananu theluputondi. kotaa nee tapanaku johaarlu.

Ok, what about KV himself. Does he have a God like character? Doesn't he criticize Nagarjuna, publicly who has given him a good breakthrough with NinnepellaDuta, without any fault from Nagarjuna's side? Worse of all KV him self publicly admitted that 'Samudram' is the worst movie he has ever made and he know it before it went on to the sets. But for still making the film, he gave a simple reason that at that time he is in need of that money. At the time of samudram Jagapati Babu reportedly told that he has so much faith in KV that he has turn down many offers during the time of samudram so that he can fully concentrate on the movie, which will give a good break through for him. If jaga pati babu is believed to mean what he said, then KV played with the money of a producer and more importantly career of an actor, just because he needs money. What will you say about this KV?

KV said that kota came to sets of money-money being drunk. But it has not affected his performance any where? Does it? After seeing that movie it's hard for a person to go home with out Kota's memories. As long as one's obligations/hobbies/character/defects are not affecting the person's performance one can tolerate it. This true of any profession and is very well put in to practice many Good Company's. It's even their motto. But it's high time that KV learn this simple life story. In the whole story the only losers are audience, for whom it will really be a treat watching Kota in KV's, who has excellent movies like Sindhuram and Antahpuram to his credit and direction.
